
Dr. Su Jin Jez
As CEO of California Competes, Dr. Su Jin Jez leads the organization in advancing nonpartisan, fiscally responsible policy solutions to strengthen higher education and workforce systems across California. A former professor of Public Policy and Administration at California State University, Sacramento, Dr. Jez brings over a decade of academic and policy expertise. Her applied research focused on economic mobility, college success, and institutional effectiveness has informed decision-makers at the state, national, and international levels. A respected voice in higher education reform, she has been widely published and recognized with honors including the Stanford University Alumni Excellence in Education Award and CAEL’s Pamela Tate Rise Award. Dr. Jez serves on several boards and councils focused on postsecondary policy and antipoverty initiatives, including California's Cradle-to-Career Data System, Credential Engine, and Tipping Point Community.
